Regional competition ends the wrestling team’s season

The wrestling team participated at the MHSAA Division 2 regional competition Wednesday, Feb. 14, in Marquette.
The team lost to No. 8-ranked St. Johns 39-30 in the semifinal round.
The wrestlers who won their matches are Jason Judd, La’Ron Ruffin, Rodney Richards, Trenton DiGenova, Malik Davis, and Brandon Fisher.
This puts an end to the season for the team, but some individuals will advance to the regional individual tournament.
These individuals are Jason Judd at 103 pounds, La’Ron Ruffin at 119, Andy Ruhstorfer at 125, Trenton DiGenova at 135, Tyler Byczynski at 160, and John Brown at 171.
The regional competition is Saturday, Feb. 17, in Gaylord.
