Ploof leads Kearsley bowlers with a 299

The girls’ bowling team beat Linden and Brandon with junior Hannah Ploof shooting a 299 and 200 game during the match against Brandon on Jan. 10 at Holly Lanes.

Kearsley’s outscored its opponents 30-0 in both matches.

During the first individual game against Brandon, Hannah Ploof threw 11 strikes in a row for a 299 game. Her game is the highest score in the Flint Metro league this season, but this was not all that Ploof did during this match.

After the 299 game, Ploof shot a 200 game for a 499 series, which is the season’s best in the league.

The match against Linden started strong when the Hornets shot a total of 381 during the baker games. Linden scored a total of 220, allowing the Hornets to go up with an early 10-0 lead.

The Hornets locked up the match during the first individual game by rolling a total of 874 compared to Linden’s 575.

Senior Teagan MacDonald led the team with a 424 series for the two individual games.

In the next match against Brandon, the Hornets took an early lead again, shooting a 351 series in the baker games compared to Brandon’s 242 series.

With a 10-0 lead, the Hornets wanted to secure the victory and outscored Brandon 1,168-633.
