The girls’ track team lost its double-dual meet against Swartz Creek and Brandon.

Junior Ave’r McKay won three events and placed in one relay for the Hornets.

In the 100-meter dash, McKay sprinted her race in 13.26.

Her other two wins came from the 200 and 400. Her 200 time was 27.29, and her 400 time was 1:03.18

The 1600-relay team of Diane Bond, Madison Jordan, Emalie Lewis, and McKay won the relay in 4:30.68.

Junior Savannah Jones also placed second in the pole vault, with a height of 6 feet, 6 inches.

Kearsley’s next meet is the Division 1 Regional at Davison, Friday, May 20.
