Ben Sherlock, 6, helped Cub Scout Pack 181 with its popcorn sale this year.

Sherlock, a first-grader at Weston Elementary School, and his Cub Scout pack sell popcorn once a year to raise funds for events the Pack puts on.

The fundraiser was put together by the Pack Committee Chairman, Mr. Jeff Callahan.

“This year we sold about $22,000 in popcorn,” Callahan said. “We made close to $16,000 last year.”

Callahan organizes all fundraising events for Pack 181 and has done so for several years.

“The Pack has been in Kearsley for about 40 years now,” Callahan said. “It is mine and my son’s last year with the Cub Scouts.”

Callahan’s son is graduating to the Boy Scouts and is happy to leave the Pack on a good note.
