Tennis beats SWA for its first win of the season

Junior Lindsay Nofs led Kearsley in its win against Southwestern Academy on April 27. Nofs won at No. 1 singles.
The tennis team won its first match of the season at Flint Southwestern Academy 5-3 on April 28.
The single players won three out of the four matches, leading the team to victory.
Junior Lindsay Nofs, at No.1 singles,won her match 6-4, 4-6, 6-2.
At No. 3 singles, senior Hailey Oryszczak downed her opponent 6-3, 6-4.
In addition, junior Alysa Figgins won at No.4 singles 6-1, 6-3.
Two out of the four doubles team won their matches.
At No. 3 doubles, junior Jordan Gohs and sophomore Breeanna Rosenbum defeated SWA 7-6 (7-3), 6-0.
Finally, senior Mackenzie Chappell and junior Taylor Stockton won at No. 4 doubles 6-3, 6-1.
The tennis team plays at Imlay City on April 28.
