“Furious 7” opened in theaters on March 3.
“Furious 7,” the seventh installment of the Fast and Furious series, debuted at number one on March 3.
The movie grossed $147.1 million in its opening weekend in the United States and a total of $392.2 million worldwide.
Many fans, including myself, were braced for tear-jerking moments due to the unfortunate demise of Paul Walker. The movie did not disappoint and paid a nice tribute to Walker’s memory that would make even the most cold-hearted people teary-eyed.
The movie follows the continuing story of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) in their dangerous (and fast) adventures.
In this movie, an old foe (Deckard Shaw played by Jason Statham), from the third movie “The Fast and the Furious : Tokyo Drift,” returns to get revenge on the crew. His first act of vengeance is to kill Han, which sets Toretto on a rampage.
He and the crew work together, with some assistance from Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), to bring Shaw down.
Overall, I felt that the movie had plenty of adventure and even a share of heartfelt moments; things that do not normally go together. The actors persevered despite the loss of their close friend and made the story and characters feel real.
I highly recommend that fans of the series see the movie. It will not disappoint.
