Kearsley Community Schools is now the home of a soon-to-be famous actor.

On March 31 there was a power outage at Kearsley High School and students were released at 9 a.m. because of it.

Shortly after the power outage, Senior Mitchell Judd traveled to Courtland Center to go see an early movie.

While standing in line for the movie, famous producer Steven Spielberg spotted Judd and approached him.

“I saw him walking towards me, but I had no idea who he was at first. The only thing I knew was that he was drinking a caramel macchiato,” Judd said. “He asked me if I had ever acted before and I told him that I was part of the Drama Club at KHS.”

Spielberg then asked Judd to co-star in his new movie titled, “Mitch Gets Hitched.”

Judd agreed to the offer and will be the co-star to Kate Upton who will play Judd’s girlfriend.

The Eclipse is not entitled to go over some details told by Judd because of the possibility of a lawsuit.

“I am excited to be able to have this amazing opportunity,” Judd said. “I mean what guy wouldn’t want to star with Kate Upton?”

Filming for the movie will take place starting June 9 and will continue through the summer. Most of the movie will be filmed in Crossroads Village and the Captain’s Club at Woodfield in Grand Blanc.

The movie will be in Michigan theaters in early 2016, with the grand premier happening at Courtland Cinema one week before the release date.

When the movie is released, The Eclipse will do a story over the movie’s failure.
