Going to the bathroom should be a quick, simple, and stress-free experience.

However, in high school, one can face many irritating encounters when going to the bathroom. It seems as if people lack common sense and manners as soon as they step in the washroom.

Here are the six most annoying bathroom-goers and what they should stop doing:

1.) Phone users

When I am using the bathroom I do not want to hear you talking on the phone with your mom asking her to pick you up so you can skip your math test.

First of all, it is awkward when you say hello, because I will assume you are talking to me. Second, how are you able to have a conversation while on the toilet? There are better places to talk on the phone besides a bathroom.

2.) Group-goers

For some reason, girls believe that they need to go to the bathroom in groups as if they are wild animals who are in danger of being attacked by a predator if left alone.

It is unpleasant to walk into a bathroom full of girls standing around to hear me urinate.

If you are not using the bathroom, get out. I am positive that if you go to the bathroom alone nothing bad will happen.

3.) Makeup artists

Alongside the girls who go to the bathroom just to accompany their friends, girls who put makeup on in the bathroom or do other beauty rituals are irritating.

The girls who simply apply lip gloss or fix their hair are not the problem, but when girls bring every single piece of makeup they own and take up the whole sink space, things can get extremely annoying.

It is frustrating when I have to get to class in a minute and girls are blocking the sinks just to apply makeup.

I would like to use the bathroom and wash my hands without any detours. Please do your makeup at home, and stop caring about your appearance so much. This is high school, not a Vogue photo shoot.

4.) The hangout girls

Of all the places in the school, some girls think the bathroom is the best hangout.

These girls are a combination of the beauty salon girls, group girls, and the talking-on-the-phone girls. For some reason, they would much rather stand in a gross bathroom than actually be in class.

It is very troublesome when I need to use the bathroom and certain girls are in there every day.

Please leave and go to class.

5.) Stall artists

For some reason people believe that the stalls are their Facebook or Twitter timeline. I would prefer not to see your gossip and rumors about the girl you hate.

Bullying is wrong and immature.

The fact that high school students still write hateful things on the stalls is baffling. If I wanted to see that type of drama I would watch TMZ or find a fight on Twitter.

Writing on the stall is disrespectful, immature, and not classy.

6.) Selfie-takers

We know you look fabulous because you did your makeup when you accompanied your friend to the bathroom, but this does not mean you should have a photo shoot while you are there.

I’m not sure why girls feel the need to take selfies in the bathroom. Maybe it’s the blue stalls, the perfect lighting, or maybe the wide mirrors that create the urges to take selfies.

Please stop taking selfies in the bathrooms, it is weird and awkward when I photobomb your selfie while washing my hands.

If you are one of these type of girls in the bathroom, please admit your problem and try to fix it. There is help for you.

If girls simply avoid doing these annoying things, everyone will have a more pleasant experience.
