Girls basketball won 58-37 in a Metro League crossover match against Owosso.

Senior JaKeria Wash showed out with 14 points, six assists, four rebounds, and eight steals.

Senior Kamryn Palka brought in 15 points and five rebounds.

Palka believes that the game went well for the team but the Hornets could improve on their defense.

“I think the game went well,” Palka said. “We moved the ball up on the floor and worked hard on offense.

“However, we could’ve played a little better on the defensive end.”

The Hornets are now 12-4 overall and 10-1 in the Metro League.

They will compete next against Fenton on the road Friday, Feb. 14.
