The cheer team jumps into the splits during the third Metro League competition. The Hornets took second in their competition on Thursday, Feb. 14.

The cheer team took second at Clio for the third Metro League competition Thursday, Feb. 14.

Swartz Creek took first place with 763.36 points.

Since the Dragons and Kearsley were tied for first place going into the third jamboree, Swartz Creek won the league title while Kearsley finished as runner-up after scoring 752.36 points.

Clio finished in third place with a total of 751.22 points.

The Hornets had 232.90 points in round one, 217.06 points in round two, and 310.40 points in round three.

The team will compete again Saturday, Feb. 16, at Linden in a MHSAA district tournament.
