Powerlifters qualify for state meet

The powerlifting team had 17 lifters qualify for the state meet at the Millington regional on Jan. 26.
The powerlifting team competed at the Millington regional meet Jan. 26.
On the girls side, junior Amelia Boggs placed first, senior Amber Hardy placed second, and senior Emma Bishoff placed third.
Seniors Chloe Vollmar and Aryiana Laney both placed first in their weight classes.
The team placed second overall.
On the boys team, senior Eddie Harris placed first and junior Josh Truax placed third.
Seventeen lifters have qualified and will compete at the state meet. The state meet will be held at Ionia High School on March 9 and 10.
