The boys basketball team lost on its home court against Swartz Creek 58-49 on Friday, Jan. 4.

The Hornets’ top scorer was sophomore Jace Chapman with 13 points.

Senior Saif Dawan scored 12 points, and freshman Tyler Csintyan scored an additional nine points for the team.

Dawan was not confident about his team’s performance.

“We fell apart in the second half,” Dawan said.

Kearsley is now 5-3 overall, 1-3 league.

The Hornets take on Linden in a home game Tuesday, Jan. 8.
