The boys basketball team defeated Brandon 59-44 in the championship game of the Venture Classic Holiday Showcase at Imlay City on Friday, Dec. 21.

Sophomore Braylon Silvas led the team with 21 points.

Senior Saif Dawan also aided the team scoring an additional 12 points.

Following behind was junior Gequez Pano with 11 points.

The Hornets also won the semifinal 64-52 against Capac on Thursday, Dec. 20.

Senior Trevor Shaheen led the team to victory with 18 points, along with sophomore Braylon Silvas with 11 points.

Kearsley is now 5-2 overall, 1-2 league.

The Hornets take on Swartz Creek in a home game Friday, Jan. 4.
