Senior Chase Gebhardt signed a letter of intent Friday, March 16, to bowl at Adrian College.

Adrian competes at the NCAA Division III level, and the Bulldogs are members of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association.

Gebhardt has been an All-League performer for the boys bowling program and assisted the Hornets with making it into the top eight in the state his junior and senior years.

He has been bowling for five consecutive years and has aimed to make each year better than the last.

Mr. Bart Rutledge, Gebhardt’s high school coach, is thankful he had the opportunity to watch Gebhardt grow as a player.

“Chase went from being a role player as a sophomore to a leader and someone that I learned we needed on the team,” Rutledge said.

Rutledge is proud of Gebhardt and his accomplishments.

“I could not be prouder of Chase in his moving on to Adrian,” Rutledge said. “I believe his knowledge and his work ethic will be an incredible asset to the bowling program at Adrian.”

After bowling for most of his life, Gebhardt is most excited to continue his bowling career.

“I’m happy to have the opportunity to bowl at the next level,” Gebhardt said.

Junior Kyle Langworthy enjoyed bowling with Gebhardt and will miss his personality.

“It was really nice having him on the team,” Langworthy said. “Chase is one of those people that have the ability to make you laugh with anything they say.”
