The first time my friends and I went to a concert together alone was Vans Warped Tour’s 20-year anniversary in 2014.

If you enjoy music and being outdoors, then Warped Tour is for you.

Warped Tour takes place on July 20 at Meadow Brook Amphitheater in Rochester. Doors open at 11 a.m.

According to Wikipedia, “The Warped Tour is a traveling rock tour that has toured the United States annually each summer since 1995. It is the largest traveling music festival in the United States, and is the longest-running touring music festival in North America.”

This is the last year that Warped will be touring, so if you have always wanted to go, this is your last chance.

With bands performing like 3OH!3, Mayday Parade, Asking Alexandria, and Bowling for Soup, it is safe to assume that there will be tons of music to choose from.

Artists like Fall Out Boy, All-American Rejects, G-Eazy, and Futuristic have all performed at Warped Tour over the years.

Warped Tour is a cheap way to see all of your favorite bands and artists.

General admission is only $45 with the option to get a “3-D collector’s ticket” for only $55.

If you are one of many that keep their tickets, the collector’s ticket is a great option at an affordable price.

The collector’s ticket is a hard plastic material so it lasts longer than a paper or electronic ticket. Not to mention, it is only $10 more than an original ticket.

When preparing for Warped Tour, be sure to pack these essentials: water, sunscreen, markers, paper, extra money, a change of clothes, and canned food (optional).

Since Warped Tour takes place in July, it gets very hot, especially when you’re standing outside from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. That’s when your water and sunscreen will come in handy. Anything else that helps you stay cool and safe from UV rays should be considered.

Bring markers and paper just in case you meet someone and you want their autograph.

The year I went, I met Jeffree Star and Bowling for Soup, and I was grateful that I brought a marker and paper.

It’s quite obvious to bring extra money since the event has food, beverages, and merchandise to purchase.

A change of clothes is not required, but it is a good idea to bring some in case you want to go on the giant Slip ‘N Slide that they have every year. I highly recommend it.

Lastly, you get the option to skip the line to get in if you bring at least five canned food items.

It’s a really good idea to do this so you can get in the venue before everyone else and the food is donated to families in need.
