Upbeat, Jake Miller’s ‘Silver Lining’ mesmerizes
I am astounded by Jake Miller’s pure and authentic talent.
The young artist got his start on YouTube, writing and producing his own hip-hop songs.
Miller released “Silver Lining” on March 9.
The record has 14 tracks in total.
Miller discusses new beginnings and letting go of negativity in the majority of the songs.
The lyrics are uplifting, demonstrating it’s never too late to make a change in your life.
One lyric says, “Can you be a real human for a second please? This ain’t TV. No one’s watching. This just you and me.”
This is referring to Miller’s lover forgetting who she really is and conforming to society’s standards.
Miller sings, “I know you know you’re special, but if you’re feeling me, I wanna talk to the girl that’s underneath.”
In another song, “Starting Over,” Miller talks about how he wants to reconnect with his ex-girlfriend in a more positive way.
He sings, “We might make it out alive. No we’re not in the clear, but we are getting closer. Let’s bring this love back to life.”
I personally enjoy all of the songs and can see them cheering up those who are going through a rough time.
Senior Gracie Garfi-Sharber is a huge fan of Miller and his music.
“I love Jake Miller because his music is real and he is extremely creative,” Garfi-Sharber said. “I like how he is able to take his own experiences and turn them into something beautiful that I can relate to.”
Miller is on his way to fame and success.
With his authentic vocals, and his self-written jams, he will continue to make his way to the top of the charts.
