Society should accept creativity

In a world where society says that we all should be equal and able to express ourselves in whatever way we want to, I don’t feel like this mantra holds true.

People are too quick to judge and need a lot of persuasion in order to accept other people’s opinions.

People care too much about what other people’s opinions are and can’t just be OK with someone thinking something different than them.

I want to leave my house feeling comfortable with how I am, and not feel like I will be judged for showing my true colors.

When someone feels comfortable enough with themselves to walk outside of the house wearing something you wouldn’t, people take that as a green light to make fun of them and ridicule them. Now, that person will probably never want to express themselves and will have the fear of being made fun of.

I think people’s attitudes toward creativity is ridiculous. If it were you wanting to be different, I’m sure you wouldn’t want that kind of treatment.

In the media when someone popular is being different, it’s cool and trendy. But if someone you know does the same thing, they’re a wanna be.

I think that society wants to accept creativity but doesn’t know how to without hiding behind a screen.

To play the devil’s advocate on this topic, what if these people are just trying to be honest. My question to that is, why do you have to make someone feel like garbage just to share your opinion?

People are allowed to have their own opinions and say what they feel about anything they want to, but it’s just not very nice to make other people feel like garbage for expressing themselves in a different way.

Overall, I think people should censor their opinions a little more and be more sensitive to other people’s feelings.
