The girls basketball team gathers together for the national anthem in a game earlier this year.

On Tuesday, Jan. 30, the girls basketball team traveled to Holly High School to take yet another win.

The final score was 35-15, but it was clear the game belonged to the Hornets since the first quarter.

The key scorers were junior Mackenzie Ramey with 10 points and sophomore Sydney Walker with six points.

Junior Mackenzie Ramey said she did well during the game.

“I think I performed well to help contribute to the win against Holly,” Ramey said.

Ramey also reflects on the team’s skills.

“As a team, our defense is amazing but gets us sometimes, and our offense comes to us naturally,” Ramey said. “We, together, had an amazing performance.”

The Hornets are now 9-4 overall, 7-3 in the league.

The next game is Friday, Feb. 3, at Fenton High School.
