Cheer stunts into second place

All the competitors at the Davison Invitational gather together to throw up a stunt while waiting for results of the competition Saturday, Jan. 20.

The cheer team took second place at the Davison Cheer Invitational at Davison High School on Saturday, Jan. 20.

The team earned a total of 221.10 points during round one, 210.42 during round two, and 295.60 during round three.

The team’s grand total was 727.12 points.

Bay City Central took first with 733.30 points and Swartz Creek took third with 706.62 points.

Coach Brooke Sharrard was impressed with the teams efforts.

“They did really well and even increased our score by 25 points,” Sharrard said.

The next competition is Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Linden High School.
