Senior Devyn Sredich faces off against his opponents from Flushing at a home game on Tuesday, Dec. 12.

After being down eight points at the end of the first quarter, the boys basketball team couldn’t catch up to the Raiders.

With a final score of 56-43, the Hornets lost to Flushing on Tuesday, Dec. 12, at home.

Coach Paul Adas said Kearsley did not fare well on the boards.

“The team was out rebounded, once again,” Adas said.

Adas said the Hornets cannot afford to get behind early in games.

“The team needs to get off to a faster start,” he said, “keep up with the speed of the game, and we need to stay out of the team’s cliche tactics.”

Adas believes the team can still improve.

“Our team is young, and we have a lot of underclassmen who we will need to make adjustments with,” Adas said.
