Girls basketball keeps it close, falls to Goodrich
The Hornets fell at Goodrich 62-58 in a girls basketball game Thursday, Nov. 30.
Sophomore Sydney Walker led the team with 19 points, while Junior Mackenzie Ramey scored 15.
In addition, junior Zaria Mitchner chipped in 11 points.
Kearsley fell behind early, outscored 18-11 in the first quarter.
The Hornets were down 38-27 after the second quarter but battled back in the third quarter with 15 points to the Martians’ eight.
The Hornets were unable to overcome the four-point deficit in the fourth quarter.
The team is now 1-1 this season.
Kearsley will play its next game at home against Mt. Morris on Tuesday, Dec. 5.
