A good scare is a must for October and haunted houses are a must for a good scare.

Some of the haunted houses in the area are Exit 13 Haunted House, Erebus Haunted Attraction, Saint Lucifer’s Haunted Asylum, Past Tense After Dark, and Dreadlands Haunt of Davison.

Exit 13 Haunted House is located in Mt. Morris and has 4-of-5 stars on Google Review. According to their website, Exit 13 is the largest and most extreme haunt in the area.

To visit a haunted house out of town, Erebus Haunted Attraction is a good one. It is located in Pontiac and has 4.1-of-5 stars on Google Review. Erebus is a four-story haunted house with many special effects.

Located in Flint, Saint Lucifer’s Haunted Asylum has 3.9-of-5 stars on Google Review. Saint Lucifer’s shares the eerie tale of the asylum of the mentally insane and the paranormal activity that comes with it.

Sophomore Maddie Alpin said she’s been to Saint Lucifer’s Haunted Asylum and enjoyed it.

“It was scary and sometimes trippy,” Alpin said. ” They (the haunters) didn’t touch you, which makes you feel a little more safe. It was unique because the characters interact with you in fun and sometimes comedic ways. It’s scary because people will chase you throughout it.”

Another haunted house is Past Tense After Dark. It is located in Lapeer and has 4.4-of-5 stars on Google Review. Past Tense After Dark involves three main attractions, including the Hayride of Despair, the Corn Maze of Fear, and the House of Horrors.

Finally, Dreadlands Haunt of Davison has 4.1-of-5 stars on Google Review. Dreadlands Haunt of Davison is a haunted trail that ends with a high-speed tandem cable ride.
