The soccer team beat Southwestern Academy on Monday, April 10, at a home game for the Hornets.

The final score was 9-1.

Senior Sydney Shields and junior Marysa Gatica both scored two goals apiece in the first half starting out the game with a 4-0 lead.

In the second half, the Hornets scored their last five goals in the first 15 minutes.

Gatica ended the night with an astounding five goals.

Junior Jayden Zajac split time in the net with senior Alexis Allen to bring home the win.

The Hornets next game is home against Goodrich at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 20.

Oxford

The Hornets lost a non-league contest at Oxford 8-0 on Wednesday, March 29.
