Girls bowling downs the Eagles
The girls bowling team came in full force against Linden, winning 30-0 on Saturday, Jan. 11.
The Hornets started the match at Grand Blanc Lanes with Baker games of 170 and 192 to Linden’s 97 and 133, giving Kearsley a 10-0 lead heading into the individual games.
Kearsley scored a total of 961 as a team in the first round of individual games to Linden’s 582. In the second round, Kearsley scored 984 to Linden’s 574.
The total pinfall for the match was Kearsley 2,307 to Linden’s 1,386.
Freshman Imari Blond led the Hornets with games of 204 and 227, and sophomore Mary Wheeler followed with games of 204 and 213.
This win leaves Kearsley undefeated with a record of 7-0 this season.
The next match for the Hornets is Saturday, Jan. 14, at Colonial Lanes against League opponent Swartz Creek.
