Girls' bowling rolls a runner-up trophy at John Glenn Holiday Tournament

On Dec. 13 the girls’ bowling team traveled to Monitor Lanes in Bay City and took second place in the Bangor John Glenn Holiday Tournament.

In the first round of match play, the Hornets faced Carman-Ainsworth, winning the first two games with scores of 161 and 207.

Kearsley faced Owosso next, winning with games of 199 and 196.

In the finals, the girls matched up with Swartz Creek.

Kearsley fell to the Dragons 301-381.

The Hornets finished in second for the second year in a row at this tournament.

The team was led by Senior Kayla Emmendorfer who was named to the All-Tournament team with scores of 204, 227, 215 for a total score of 646.

Senior Teagan MacDonald’s high game was 257.

Other notable high games were rolled by juniors Hannah Ploof, 200, and Alexxa Flood, 198.

The next time the girls bowl is a double header in Clarkston on Dec. 20.
