Girls bowling continues winning streak

The girls bowling team traveled to Grand Blanc Lanes for a Metro League match against Holly on Wednesday, Dec. 14.

Kearsley beat Holly 23-7.

In the beginning of the match, the Hornets were not performing as well and lost the first Baker game.

Holly won with a 194 game to Kearsley’s 160.

By the second Baker game, Kearsley came back with a 201-122 victory and took a 6-4 lead into the individual games.

In the first individual game, the Hornets shot 102 and won eight of nine possible points to take command of the match.

In the last game, they won seven of nine possible points to win the match.

The total pinfall for the night was Kearsley’s 2,269 to Holly’s 1,861.

The leading bowlers of the night were freshman Imari Blond with a 266 in the second baker game. Next was junior Barbara Hawes with a 235 in the first Baker game, and sophomore Alexis Roof with a 215 in the first Baker game.

The Hornets are now 4-0 this season and will travel to Bay City this weekend for two holiday tournaments.
