Seniors need to be aware of the dress codes for various senior events.

With the end of the year quickly approaching, seniors have a lot to look forward to: athletic awards, Class Day, honors convocation, baccalaureate, and commencement.

But seniors should also prepare their outfits for all of the festivities coming up.

For athletic awards, Class Day, honors convocation, baccalaureate, and commencement, the following is required:

  • Men shall wear a white dress shirt, tie, navy blue or black dress slacks, dress socks, and black dress shoes.
  • Ladies shall wear a white or light-colored dress under their robes and white dress shoes (no shoes without a heel strap). Colored hose are not acceptable. If hose are worn they must be skin-colored.
  • Both young ladies and young men shall wear their mortarboards, or caps, as nearly level as possible. Mortarboards shall be placed upon the head with the longest point to the back. The shortest point in front shall be worn horizontally level, not tipped. The tassel shall be draped over the right temple. Once you officially graduate, you will move the tassel to the left side.

The mortarboards are not allowed to be decorated.
