Senior Julie Lemon presents her play “Eleventh Night” on Thursday, May 25, and Friday, May 26.

The Drama Club has been working on the production “Eleventh Night” for the past few weeks.

Now it is time for the comedic musical to take the stage.

Eleventh Night takes place at New Lake High School in the 1970s.

Everything goes wrong.

A crazy love triangle, class clowns, and a creepy cheer manager all find their way into this average high school, with some not-so-average people.

This original comedic musical was written by senior Julie Lemon.

“I think people will like the musical numbers in this play,” Lemon said. “The comedy is also gonna be the selling factor. It’s not everyday you get to see a good comedic musical.”

The student director has been putting in endless hours to help make this show a hit.

Junior Rian Schulz is student director and one of the cast members.

“We have put in a lot of hard work into this play,” Schulz said. “I think if you’re able to come, you should because it is hilarious and will be enjoyable to watch.”

Senior Claire Zuwala has a lead in the play and wants as many people to attend as possible.

“I think it would be awesome if everyone could come out and support us and just to see the talent we have,” Zuwala said. “It would be a great way to send the seniors off.”

Showtimes for the play are Thursday, May 26, and Friday, May 27, at 7 p.m. in the KHS auditorium.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door.

Mr. John Hall, play director, has also put a great deal of time into this production and is enthralled with how it is turning out.

“It’s fast moving and sure to keep the audience’s attention,” Hall said. “I encourage everyone to come out to see it. It’s funny and filled with popular songs that everyone knows and loves.”
