Baseball team splits with Brandon
The baseball team split a doubleheader with Brandon on Monday, May 16.
The boys were well rested going into the games, as they had not played in a week.
The Mt. Morris Invitational on Saturday, May 14, was cancelled on account of rain.
Game one was a close 2-1 loss.
Senior Nolan Crannie led the Hornets on offense in the first game as he tallied three hits.
The second game went well for the Hornets as they won 9-0 behind a two-hit shutout from senior Antonio St. John.
Crannie and senior Noah Jankowski both recorded two hits.
After the pair of games, the team is now 6-16 overall, 2-11 in league contests.
The Hornets will look for a win on Thursday, May 19, when Brown City comes to town.
