The baseball team beat Davison in a doubleheader opener 9-5 before losing the second game 11-1 on Wednesday, April 13.

The baseball team earned its first win of the season 9-5 while hosting Davison on Wednesday, April 13.

In the first game of a doubleheader, senior Ryan Bennett pitched the win for Kearsley.

Junior Ryan McCoy and seniors Ryan Bennett and Noah Jankowski each started the game off with two hits. Eventually, each of them scored a run.

Senior Josh Walters aided the team with runs the most, getting two runs.

Junior Mitchel Conely and seniors Nolan Crannie, Liam Grathoff, and Brennen Colley each made one run apiece.

In the closer, the Hornets lost 11-1.

Senior Antonio St. John hit a double and later scored on a McCoy single.

The Hornets were shut down offensively most of the game.

Only two other Hornets got a hit.

Bennett recorded a single, while Jankowski hit a double.
