Linden

The boys’ basketball team fell 60-54 to the Linden Eagles on Friday, March 4, marking the final home game for the boys’ basketball team.

Senior Deitrick Young led the team with 19 points, and freshman Saif Dawan contributed 11 points.

In the fourth quarter the game was tied 52-52, with only a few minutes left.

The Hornets (3-17 overall, 2-12 league) were only able to knock down one more shot.

Linden scored eight more points in the fourth quarter, winning the game.

Owosso

The Hornets lost 66-53 in a tight game against Owosso on Wednesday, March 2.

The Hornets were led by sophomore Taveon Harris and senior Deitrick Young.

Both players had an impressive game, scoring 18 points each.

The team will play its district game Monday, March 7, against Saginaw Arthur Hill at Lapeer. Game time is 7:15 p.m. and will be played after the Saginaw-Davison game.
