Eagles fly past boys’ basketball

The Hornets watch their teammates play defense.

Frankenmuth outscored the boys’ basketball team 60-32 on Tuesday, Feb. 16.

Neither team could hit its shots in the first quarter.

At the end of the opening quarter, the Eagles led 9-4.

Senior Deitrick Young led the Hornets with 12 points against the Eagles.

Young contributed five points in the second quarter, giving Frankenmuth a 10-point lead at halftime 24-14.

The Eagles are a very tall team and pack a lot more weight than the Hornets.

Two of the Frankenmuth players attempted to dunk against the Hornets.

In the third quarter, one of the dunks was successful.

At the end of the third quarter, the Eagles were up 43-22.

Junior Chandler Ford, captain, and freshman Saifullah Dawan, each knocked down four points to help the Hornets.

In the final quarter of the game, the Hornets were only able to knock down 10 more points.

The Eagles pulled down more rebounds than the Hornets.

The loss drops Kearsley to 3-13 overall, 2-9 in league play.

The Hornets hit the road this Friday, Feb. 19, to take on Brandon at 7 p.m.
