‘Deadpool’ gives a whole new meaning to superhero
“Deadpool” has been talked about ever since it was announced over a year ago.
So it is no shock that it has taken the box office by storm.
“Deadpool” made a record crushing $152 million on its four-day opening weekend. It broke many records such as biggest President’s Day weekend opening and biggest X-Men opening.
There has been a lot of hype around this movie and fans were extremely satisfied with the movie.
Mikayla Stevens, senior, was extremely satisfied with how the newest Marvel movie turned out.
“It was the best Marvel movie ever,” Stevens said. “It was full of action and humor, which made for a good combo.”
In the film, Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) hunts down the man who subjected him to an experiment that left Wade with new abilities, including an accelerated healing factor, and a scarred physical appearance. This soon leads Wade to become the notorious superhero, Deadpool.
Wade, now Deadpool, will stop at nothing to hunt down the man who did the test on him, leading to his deformity.
Other students who have seen the film could not have asked for it to turn out any better.
Aaliyah Jefferson, senior, enjoyed the film just as much as Stevens.
“It was one of the most action-packed films I have ever seen,” Jefferson said. “It was highly energetic and was packed with so much humor. I was laughing throughout the whole movie.”
Some students believe it was the best Marvel movie created.
Adam Chuchvara, senior, has also seen the film and found enjoyment in the Marvel movie.
“I was never a Marvel movie or superhero movie fan until now,” Chuchvara said. “This film changed the way I think about films in the genre.”
With so much positive feedback from audience members, it is definitely a movie to go and watch.
