Gamers anticipate five games that will make 2016 a blast
Many video games are scheduled to come out this year, making 2016 a big year for gamers all over the world.
In my opinion, there are five video games coming out this year that all gamers should check out upon release.
Tom Clancy’s “The Division”
It is, in my opinion, one of the most talked about games right now.
The game is an open-world, multiplayer, third-person tactical shooter that includes action-packed role playing.
The setting takes place in New York City, where a man-made virus has swept through the city, causing all basic services to fail and society to collapse.
In the game, the player is part of “The Division,” a classified unit of self-supported tactical agents that are trained to operate independently from command in order to prevent the fall of society.
The biggest aspect of the game is the multiplayer.
It will affect how the city operates, depending on the interactions with other players.
With each decision affecting how the city unfolds, this key aspect of the game may draw the interests of many possible players.
Sections of the city will either start recovering or plunge further into chaos.
The newest addition to the Tom Clancy franchise will be coming out on all platforms, including PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
The game is scheduled to come out March 8.
“Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End”
“Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” is an upcoming third-person shooter that adds to the “Uncharted” series.
The game follows up three years after “Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.”
Nathan’s brother Sam tracks down Nathan for his help, forcing Nathan out of retirement to once again return to fortune hunting in order to solve a mystery involving pirates and, of course, hidden treasure.
With a lot of action and adventure, many gamers who enjoy solving puzzles will like this game.
Unfortunately for PC and Xbox players, “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” is a game exclusively for the PlayStation.
The game’s release date is scheduled for April 26.
“Firewatch”
“Firewatch” is a first-person adventure game with a scary twist.
The game is set in the Wyoming wilderness in the summer of 1989.
The gamer plays as Henry, a man who has retreated from his messy life to work as a fire lookout.
Henry’s job is to look out for smoke and keep the wilderness safe during the dry summer.
A series of events occurs that draw Henry away from the safety of his tower, forcing him to explore the unknown environment for two missing women.
He investigates the last known area where the women were, where he discovers clues that someone deliberately cut the phone wire.
This causes contact with civilization to be cut off.
All Henry has is his radio that he uses to contact his supervisor, Delilah.
Henry must figure out who sabotaged contact with civilization and what happened to the two missing women, all while facing the unknown dangers of the forest.
The game will be coming out on all platforms for everyone to enjoy.
“Firewatch” is scheduled to release on Feb. 9.
“ReCore”
“ReCore” is a new action-adventure game set to be released on Xbox One only.
The game deals with the last few remaining humans on Earth and their friendly robot companions.
The remaining humans team together to tackle several obstacles, including enemy robots, in hopes of rebuilding humanity.
Much of the game is set in a desert landscape along with underground exploration.
“ReCore” puts the player in the shoes of Joule, a human survivor, who is accompanied by her robot dog named Mack.
This game is sure to be packed with adventure and suspense, leaving gamers wanting more.
“ReCore” is planned to be released in June of this year.
“Horizon Zero Dawn”
This game is set 1,000 years in the future, where robotic creatures have taken control of Earth and humans are no longer the dominant species.
Most of the humans have been wiped out. Only some are still alive, living in small colonies fighting for survival.
In “Horizon Zero Dawn,” the main character is a female protagonist named Aloy, who is a young outcast from her tribe.
Aloy has learned how to hunt the robotic creatures and sets out on a quest that leads to her destiny.
The game is planned to be released this year, but a specific date has yet to be determined.
These games are sure to be a hit this year, so I recommend for everyone that likes action-packed, adventurous games with a touch of mystery to check them out.
