Zehnder’s Snowfest allows winter family time

Zehnder’s restaurant in Frankenmuth is famous for its chicken dinners. Zehnder’s is hosting the 2016 Snowfest.

Zehnder’s is having its annual winter festival beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 27.

Snowfest is held in Frankenmuth and will have ice sculptures displayed through the city.

Mr. John Shelton, vice president of sales and marketing of Zehnders, said he expects a large crowd this year.

“Popularity is based on its uniqueness and very low cost. The majority of the event is free,” Shelton said.”The entire family from toddlers to grandmas can enjoy.”

The festival begins at 10 a.m on Wednesday, Jan. 27, and ends on the following Monday, Feb. 1, at 10 p.m

Junior Kathryn Diederich said that she had enjoyed going the past three years.

“My favorite part is the snow sculptures,” Diederich said. “They are interesting to look at. It is a nice time to go and walk around with family and friends.”
