‘Sisters’ is good for a laugh

“Sisters” is a raunchy comedy that kept me laughing throughout the entire film.

Looking at the movie, it had a lot of comedy but also many things viewers can relate to.

Maura is a divorced nurse who is trying to find love again. Kate is a single mom whose daughter is upset that she cannot get her life together.

The acting is good, and there are many funny parts, but it can be crude at times.

The movie opened with Maura (Amy Poehler) finding out her parents are selling her childhood home.

Consequently, her parents want her to tell her hotheaded sister, Kate (Tina Fey), the news of the house being sold.

Maura lures Kate back to their hometown, Orlando, to tell her.

She ends up waiting to tell her until Kate sees the sold sign in front of their house.

Outraged by the news of their childhood house being sold, Kate and Maura devise  a plan to throw one last banger with their high school friends and relive their glory days.

It is R-rated for language, drug and alcohol usage, and sexual content.

Fey and Poehler are hilarious, heartwarming, and fresh in the movie.

Overall, if you want a laugh, go and see this movie.
