Dragons fly past boys’ basketball team

The boys’ basketball team fell to the Swartz Creek Dragons 56-44 on Friday Dec. 11,

The Dragons outscored the Hornets 19-2 in the first quarter, setting the tempo of the game.

Junior Chandler Ford scored 13 points to lead Kearsley, and senior Deitrick Young contributed 10.

The top scorers for Swartz Creek were Mike Hill with 16 points and Anton Thompson with 13.

The Hornets won the second half against Swartz Creek, 30-20, gaining momentum going into their next game.

The Hornets take on Flushing on Friday, Dec. 18, against Flushing at home.
