‘Love the Coopers’ teaches family lessons during the holidays

Going into the movie theater to see “Love the Coopers,” I expected the film to be a dud.

But I was pleasantly surprised.

It turns out, it is a good movie for all ages.

The movie opens with four generations of Coopers going through Christmas Eve day, to get to dinner with all of the family.

The grandparents Sam (John Goodman) and Charlotte (Diane Keaton) are hosting their annual Christmas Eve dinner. But a series of unfortunate events happen, to where they all realize how important family is.

A life lesson I learned in the movie is not to be scared to talk to your family even if it might make them mad.

In the movie the sister Emma (Marisa Tomei) has trouble talking to her sister Charlotte because their relationship had changed over the years and they now see things differently.

Another life lesson I learned is not to be scared to take a chance. You learn this when Hank (Ed Helms) takes a chance and asks Ruby (Amanda Seyfried) out.

“Love the Coopers” will make you laugh and also tear up.

Hollywood captured a family gathering, which happens to be on Christmas Eve, in a way that reminds us all that we have problems with our family, but in the end we always realize how important family is.
