First Frost Arts and Fine Crafts Fair is to ring in the holiday season
Looking for a way to buy Christmas gifts for family and friends and ring in the holiday season?
The Founders Society and the Flint Institute of Arts are hosting their 10th annual First Frost Arts and Fine Crafts Fair on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 7 and 8.
The first art showing is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. The Sunday showing is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The fair will showcase three events.
The first is “Shop the Artists,” which will display handmade crafts by around 50 selected artists.
A silent auction for fully-decorated trees and wreaths is also taking place.
“Living on the Etch” glassblower Charlie Shoulders will be giving a demonstration in the FIA’s Hurand Sculpture Courtyard.
The general admission fee is $5 and $4 for seniors (ages 62 and above). Children 12 and under get in for free.
Senior Liam Grathoff is volunteering with the National Honor Society at the First Frost Fair. While there, he plans on buying a gift for his grandma.
The First Frost Arts and Fine Crafts Fair is a great way to see interesting art and prepare for the holidays.
