Kelly, Martin pace the harriers at Goodrich
The girls’ and boys’ cross country teams competed in the Kayla O’Mara Invitational at Goodrich on Saturday, Oct. 15.
The girls finished in ninth place with 271 points, far from Linden’s winning score of 62.
Junior Lexi Kelly led the girls’, finishing 53rd with a time of 24:17.1.
Sophomore Brooklynn Dever completed her 5K after Kelly, placing 55th with a time of 25:23.5.
The boys’ team finished seventh, having scored 197 points.
Saginaw Heritage finished in first place with 23 points.
Sophomores Donald Martin and Jack Vollmar finished 37th and 42nd, respectively, in the meet.
Martin ran his race in a time of 19:21.2, and Vollmar came in at 20:08.6.
The Hornets will participate in the final Flint Metro League Jamboree at Brookwood, Wednesday, Oct. 21.
