Christmas is one of the many holidays celebrated here at the high school and with Christmas just around the corner, students have already started to make their Christmas list.

Usually, when it comes to gifts everyone has a special thing on the top of their list.

When I asked Senior, Morgan Lauletta what she wanted the most this year Lauletta said, “I’ve been begging my dad to buy me a V Bucks gift card so I can buy skins on Fortnite”

Shoes and clothes are something that sophomore Raquel Murphy hopes to see under the tree.  “I asked my mom for lots of clothes.  I’ve been wanting to get more shoes like Uggs and Jordan 4’s,” she stated.

Some gifts are more extravagant than most, but that’s not stopping senior, Desiree Griffin from adding them to her list.  Griffin said, “I want the entire new skims line that Kim K just came out with so bad. I love the new gray set.  I asked my mom for all of them and Santa better bring them too.”

With all of these new trends appearing in the media, shopping can start to get a little bit difficult for parents.

Sophomore, Jade Fuller exclaimed, ” I saw this new coach bow bag on TikTok, but I’m pretty sure they are all sold out now, but I want one so bad.”

When I asked Senior, Kyle Owens, what was on the top of his list, he stated, “I honestly only asked for concert tickets and new shoes and I’d be happy with that.”

Some gifts aren’t always over the top but mean just as much as the rest.

Freshman, Ciara Teller stated, ” I don’t really have a present on the top of my list, to be honest, but I really like drawing and painting so I’m really hoping I get these fancy markers I asked for.”

Gift-giving is one of the most rewarding feelings.  Even though Santa doesn’t come anymore for most of us, for the parents, seeing their kids smiling on Christmas morning brings just as much joy.

Hopefully, everyone enjoys their Christmas break and gets to check off some gifts on their list.
