Golf looks forward to a good season

Kearsley boys golf is starting off their season this spring with high hopes.

Golf opens up its season on April 13 with a trimatch.

Sophmore Lucas Power hopes to improve his golf skills this season.

“I want to improve my mental game this season,” Power said. “Keeping calm, and making sure you play at your best is key for preforming well in this sport.”

Power is hoping to win more success as a team this season.

“I look forward to winning more games,” Power said. “I’m looking to prove that I can improve throughout my high school career,” He added.

Junior Landon Watters also mentioned how he wants to improve this season.

“[I want] to overall improve my golf game and win as much as possible,” Watters said.

Coach Andy Nester has big hopes for his team.

“We’re going to go out there and improve our scores.” Nester said. “Golf is a lifelong sport that teaches humility and patience.”
