Kearsley Edges out Flushing in Last Second Thriller

The Kearsley Hornets took on the Flushing Raiders in a nail-biting head to head match-up.

The Hornets advanced to 3-2 after defeating the Raiders 26-19.

Senior Braylon Silvas rushed for a six yard touchdown with Jace Chapman converting a two point conversion leading the Raiders 8-0.

The Raiders bounced back with a 79 yard kick off return for a touchdown also converting a two point conversation making the game 8-8.

Silvas rushed for his second touchdown of the night converting yet another two point conversion leading the Raiders 16-8.

The Raiders passed for a 51 yard touchdown, scoring two points after the play. Making the game 16-16 at halftime.

The third quarter was a defensive quarter, neither team allowing any scores.

The Raiders kicked a 34 yard field goal leading the Hornets 19-16.

The Raiders took control of the football again but allowed a safety after lining up for a punt. With the Hornets down 19-18 going into their last possession.

With 31 seconds left in the game Silvas threw a 21 yard touchdown and rushing for the extra two points to win the game for the Hornets.

The Hornets will look to continue their luck when Goodrich visits C.K Richards field for senior night Friday Oct. 23.
