The competitive cheer team stunted its way to victory.

The competitive cheer team took first at the Tiger Invitational at Fenton High School Saturday, Feb. 8.

The Hornets finished with a total of 761.78 points.

Fenton earned second place with a total of 742.70 points.

Swartz Creek placed third with 742.46 points.

The Hornets had 226.20 points in the first round, 222.08 points in the second round, and 313.50 points in the third round.

Junior Isabella Baltosser is happy with the team’s performance on Saturday but believes the team still has a lot of work to do.

“Our performance was decent but definitely not our best work,” Baltosser said. “We have a lot more to prove.”

The Hornets will travel to Grand Rapids for the Delta Plex Invitational Saturday, Feb. 15.
