Competitive cheer wins first competition

Competitive cheer placed first during its first competition of the season Saturday, Dec. 14.

Competitive cheer took first in the CCAM Scholarship Invitational at Saline High School for the Saturday, Dec. 14.

The Hornets finished with a total of 702.02 points.

St. Clair earned second place with a total of 642.90 points.

Dexter placed third with 608.72 points.

The Hornets had 210.00 points in the first round, 202.32 points in the second round, and 289.70 points in the third round.

Senior Kennedy Boswtick is happy the team is starting the season off on a high note.

“We were all so happy to start our season off with a win,” Boswtick said. “I can’t wait to keep the momentum going throughout the season.”

The Hornets’ next competition is Jan. 8, 2020, at Swartz Creek High School for the first Metro League jamboree.
