Having only a few friends is common among teens, which may be a factor why many teens feel alone or depressed.

As an adolescent, there are many challenges that are going to come up and they aren’t guaranteed to be easy.

Having friends to turn to in times of trouble will make any situation easier to go through — knowing you’re not alone.

Communication is a key to life, tasks will be easier to accomplish if you have others there to help you.

There will be people in your life who you’ve known forever, but it’s important to meet new people.

Don’t be quick to judge someone. You never know what that person is like until you get to know them.

Pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and talking to new people can be scary — but something as small as a compliment could be the start of something new.

Friendship has a big impact on your health and happiness. Good friends help relieve stress, provide comfort, and bring joy.

Many of us struggle to put ourselves out there and meet new people, but meeting new people can also offer more opportunities.

When you know more people, you will have more chances to try new things or a  have better chance of getting a job.

Benefits when meeting new people go both ways.

Although not every person you meet is going to become a good friend, it’s still good to take chances.

You should never be afraid to take a risk when meeting new people. It could be worth it, or it could be a lesson learned from the person.

If it doesn’t work out, move to another new person and give them a chance.

Meeting new people will make you realize that there are more good people in the world than bad.
