Taco Bell is the preferred fast-food chain among students.

When it comes to fast food at KHS, Taco Bell ranks first among students.

In an Eclipse survey asking about students’ favorite fast-food restaurants, 22 percent voted for the Mexican-inspired chain, while 16 percent voted for McDonald’s.

Voting for other establishments, 11 percent of students chose Subway, 9 percent opted for Burger King and Arby’s, and 8 percent said they were loyal to Wendy’s.

For those looking for south-of-the-border flavors, Taco Bell can offer great options.

Junior Laura Shepley eats Taco Bell frequently.

“I love tacos a lot,” Shepley said, “and I don’t like hamburgers or anything besides chicken nuggets from places like Burger King or McDonald’s.”

Freshmen Emma Sullivan is a fan of the establishment’s menu choices.

“I like this fast-food restaurant more than any other because it has this really good Chicken Cantina Bowl that has a lot of healthy, delicious food in it,” Sullivan said.

Cost, flavor, and service make Taco Bell a beloved option for students at KHS.

One of the most popular brands across the world is McDonald’s.

Senior Anijha Cox eats McDonald’s for the taste of the food.

“McDonald”s fries are the best,” Cox said. “Also the chicken nuggets are good and the only ones I eat.”

Freshman James Coranado enjoys the restaurant’s drinks.

“Not only does it taste good, but the sweet tea is amazing,” Coranado said.

McDonald’s is known for its sides and sandwiches, including its Big Mac, a two-tiered sandwich featuring a signature sauce.

The chain is appreciated for its food’s taste, price, and consistency from location to location.

Sophomore Madison Groulx enjoys the taste of Subway sandwiches.

“I like the sub that I get more than the food I get from other places,” Groulx said. “It tastes better.”

Students like Subway because of the healthiness of its subs, the ability to customize subs, and its friendly service.

Burger King is one of the most prominent fast food brands in the United States.

Junior Sierra Vandyke thinks some of the options trump other chains.

“They have pretty good chicken nuggets, better than any other food places,” Vandyke said.

Freshman Kelsey Caughlin appreciates the consideration Burger King gives to sweet treats.

“I like their desserts the best,” Caughlin said, “and most fast-food restaurants don’t offer them.”

The restaurant offers many fast-food mainstays, but it prides itself as the home of the Whopper, its trademark sandwich.

Some prefer a healthier option for their meals.

An advocate of Wendy’s, sophomore Allison Robbins said she enjoys combining the restaurant’s sweet and salty items.

“I really love Frosties and fries together,” Robbins said

Overall, students prefer Wendy’s for its low prices on great menu items.

Some students prefer Arby’s, a restaurant that specializes in meat-based sandwiches and sides.

Freshmen T’Nijah Turner eats Arby’s because of its low prices for an abundance of food.

Turner said, “I like Arby’s because of their four for $4 special that allows you to have a sandwich, fries, a drink, and a cookie.”

Arby’s is well known for its Beef ‘N Cheddar sandwich and its Curly Fries, though many like its shakes and specials as well.
