The golf team fell to the Clio Mustangs with a close score of 193-196.

The teams competed at Flint Elks Club on Wednesday, May 2.

Leading the Hornets was senior Jack Vollmar.

Vollmar shot a 44.

Junior Tyler Gronauer finished four strokes behind Vollmar with a 48.

The No. 3 spot fell to junior Logan Loyer, who tallied a 51, and junior Stephen White was Kearsley’s final scorer. He carded a 53.

Kearsley dropped under .500 and is 2-3 in the Flint Metro League.

The Hornets will compete next at the Genesee County Championships at Atlas Valley Country Club.
