Golf flies over the Eagles
The golf team beat the Linden Eagles on Tuesday, May 1, with a score of 192-210.
The Hornets played at the Flint Elks Golf and Country Club.
Senior Jack Vollmar scored the best out of both teams with a 42. Vollmar is the only senior on the team, and he has been leading the way in every match this season for Kearsley.
Junior Logan Loyer shot 46, junior Stephen White tallied 51, and junior Tyler Gronauer followed closely with a 53.
Vollmar was happy for the team to get the victory despite sub-par performances.
“It feels good even though we didn’t play too well,” Vollmar said. “A win is a win.”
Vollmar is sad that this season will be his last for Kearsley.
“It will be the thing I miss most about high school,” Vollmar said.
The win moves the team to 2-2 in the Flint Metro League.
The golf team will take on the Clio Mustangs on Tuesday, May 2.
