Boys basketball squeaks by the Blackhawks

The boys basketball team took on the Brandon Blackhawks Tuesday, Feb. 13 at Brandon, winning 60-59.

The Hornets kept the game close most of the night, with a score of 26-21 at halftime.

For the rest of the game, the two teams battled it out to see who would come out on top.

Shooting the final free throw to win the game was freshman Jace Champman.

Kearsley’s top scorers for the night were senior Taveon Harris with 28 points and senior Jack Vollmar with 10 points.

Kearsley is now 7-10 overall, 3-10 in the Metro League.

The next game is Friday, Feb. 16, at Owosso.
